Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the golden syrup with the sugar and butter. 
  3. In a large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together. 
  4. Then, pour in the warm mixture and stir to combine. 
  5. Pack the mixture into the baking tin, pressing the mixture flat with the back of a spoon.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown. 
  7. Cut the flapjack into squares.

  • 125g butter 
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup 
  • 125g brown sugar 
  • 250 porridge oats
